Recent Developments in the Solution of Indefinite Systems
A one-day workshop on April 17, 2012, at TU Eindhoven. This workshop brings together experts on the continuous and discrete formulation of saddle point problems from several areas of computational science, both for specific and general problems, and on efficient (parallel) solution techniques for the resulting systems of equations. This workshop will be useful both to researchers dealing with applications that give rise to saddle point problems and to developers of effective solution techniques for the resulting equations. Micro and macro in systems of agents and particles
On April 18-20, 2012, a workshop will be held on Open problems between micro and macro in systems of agents and particles.
This workshop aims at bringing scientists from different fields together, around a common theme: the transition from micro to macro scales in systems of particles, agents, dislocations, people, bacteria, animals - any system in which many microscopic elements conspire to create interesting effects at larger scales. PhD days in analysis and dynamics
To foster future collaborations of PhDs in the field of mathematical analysis and dynamics we organize a two day meeting on the 26th and 27th of April 2012. Each participant is expected to give a short talk (25 mins, including questions) about their current research. Apart from these talks, two plenary lectures are given. We hope these days will be an incubator for scientific and social endeavour in our field.
